I was being 100% honest with myself, this year feels like the craziest year of my 46 years on the planet!

I ask myself every day: How can I slow down? How can I take something off my plate and delegate it or eliminate it all together? How can we as a family SLOW DOWN and ENJOY the festivities and holiday magic that comes only once/year?

HOLIDAY EMOTIONAL EATING TIP #3:

Choose whole foods when in a rush and when you want to grab + go!

If you’re wondering what snacking has to do with emotional eating and the anxiety many women get after eating sugar let me make that connection for you today. You see the things you eat affect your mind more than we give food credit for.

Yup.

Here’s a few whole food on-the-go ideas for you to rethink what you snack on…most of it isn’t really food… it’s just marketed to you that way:

  • 1/2 avocado scooped out with a spoon while standing in the kitchen 🙂
  • 1 hard-boiled egg peeled with sea salt and packed in a ziploc to be eaten whenever
  • Handful of raw macadamia nuts in ziploc container for on the go munchies
  • Handful of baby carrots while making dinner. Hummus optional
  • Organic green apple slices
  • 2 Clementines peeled and ready to go in a Ziploc bag
  • 1 small banana
  • Non dairy chocolate: Best I’ve ever found: Honey Mama’s cacao-nectar bar OR Elements Truffles sea salt with turmeric on Amazon
